In this level, the player is Minoan potter who wants to make a pot from start to finish. They face a series of decisions on how to mix their clay, what technique to form their pot, how to decorate it, and how to fire it. Each of these decisions impacts whether it will survive successfully to the next stage of the process.
The player’s goal in this level is to create a pot which survives each stage of the process.
The purpose of this level is to make the player aware of the potential pitfalls in every decision that a potter makes while also demonstrating that there is considerable specialist knowledge in making a pot.
Level gameplay is static first person. The user interface is arranged as a full screen of changing images of the player’s environment with an overlay of text and selection buttons.
The player character is a potter living in Bronze Age Crete. Gameplay takes place within several scenarios, including by a riverside, in a potter’s workshop, and in a potter’s yard near the kiln.
